Available for printing out is a list of bridges along Main Roads within the Shire with dimensions and widths for people wishing to move machinery etc.
Please note the list is not exhaustive and includes Shire Bridges only.
There are five (5) lift span bridges, for which Council has the responsibility of lifting to cater for river traffic, along the Murray River that are located within the Wakool Shire.
Works on Bridges is an ongoing activity for Council.
Council has a priority list, as determined by bridge condition and funding, for replacement of timber bridges. Council has tried to replace at least a timber bridge per financial year, although largely determined by funding received.
The priority list originates from the annual inspections undertaken by Council staff to determine the maintenance required and the condition of bridges, both timber & concrete throughout the whole of the Shire, being some 75 bridges.
